Certification Guidebooks, Educational Tools and Enabling Resources

Nationally, health and human service providers continue to seek ways to better inform their personnel and colleagues about evidence-based prevention and treatment of tobacco-nicotine addiction. Our commitment is to bring an end to the disease, disability, and premature death as a result of longterm use of nicotine products. The HealthCare Partnership at the University of Arizona offers accredited evidence-based continuing education/certification programs in accordance with the 2008 U.S. Public Health Service Clinical Practice Guideline: Treating Tobacco Use and Dependence, the 2015 and 2021 U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) commercial tobacco cessation recommendation statements, and the U.S. Government’s Healthy People 2030 initiative.
