Treatment Specialist INSTRUCTOR Certification

Certified individuals attend this eight-hour course to learn/practice the methods and techniques to teach the Treatment Specialist for Nicotine Dependence practicum. The train-the-trainer curriculum contains instructor notes and teaching tools along with suggested instructional delivery techniques specific to teaching the Treatment Specialist within diverse communities. The intent of the train-the-trainer model is to promote system-wide evidence-based tobacco dependence treatment as a standard of care.  Certification candidates learn the logistics necessary to plan, promote and teach the course.

Prerequisite: Successful completion of one of the Basic Tobacco Intervention Skills Certification courses and completion of the Treatment Specialist for Nicotine Dependence Certification course.
